Well, little Katherine turned 2 on September 10th. She is a great person. I got this darling picture of her right after she was making funny faces--the reason she has such a great smile is that she was really pleased with her faces, because we were all laughing. Some of her favorite things: soft blankets and robes--she is very particular--not necessarily about the item, rather its softness factor, bottle and pacifier (recently confiscated from William--oh well!), Desitin and toothpaste (really anything that comes from a tube and is fun to squeeze out, squish between fingers and smear on various objects, markers (preferably black Sharpies--yes, I put them up--she can move chairs, turn over buckets and climb to get whatever her little heart desires), big bins filled with flour and powdered milk (they have been moved various times--she still finds them), pens and pencils--she loves to write--and has very fine scribbles, shes loves it when the older kids get home from school--so do I, going to nursery, finally! She loves singing songs, snacks and bubbles.
She is fun to have in our family. We sure love her.
Eliza was making frosting for the cake and got her finger caught in the mixer. It was bad. Parker got attacked by killer bees and is icing his head with frozen pepperoni. He said hotdogs work better. As you can tell we had a very exciting birthday party with lots of trauma.

Cute picture of Katherine. Poor Parker- frozen poeas work quite well also. And my kids never put their fingers in the mixing bowl because I am always telling them about a primary teacher that put her hand in the mixer, had to go to the ER and have the beaters cut off her hand and have her fingers sewn back on. They were still crooked as an adult. So tell Eliza she was lucky.
What a sweet little thing! Happy birthday. I'm so glad we got the chance to see a little bit of all the kids' personalities in Montana. They are each so unique and wonderful! You guys are such awesome parents...I learn a lot from you.
What a perfect happy birthday picture! Makes me smile just looking at her. But then the awful stories of Parker's and Eliza's trauma--Oh, I hurt for you two. That is sooooooooooo sad. Where did the killer bees come from? Can you avoid them in the future? Eliza, your finger looks like it REALLY hurts! I'm so sorry. The birthday cake is BEAUTIFUL! Love you guys, wish I was there for hugs!
When our kids were younger it seemed there was always "tears" at our birthday celebrations by someone. It sounds like you had quite the adventure--hope everyone is feeling better--it looks like kk had a happy day! She is a cutie!

KK is so adorable. I love her big smile! Happy 2nd birthday!!! She sounds like a busy little thing. Sorry to hear about all the trauma! I got attacked by killer bees once out by the pond and it was awful.
